Product Description

Grade 316/316L is molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel. The higher nickel and molybdenum content in this grade allows it to demonstrate better overall corrosion resistant properties than 304, especially with regard to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. In addition, Alloy 316/ 316L provides excellent elevated temperature tensile, creep and stress-rupture strengths, as well as outstanding formability and weldability. 316L is the lower carbon version of 316 and is immune from sensitization; therefore, it is very frequently used in heavy gauge welded components.

Slip on Flanges, also known as SO flange or SLIP ON FLANGE, is a common flange type widely used in low and medium pressure piping systems. It inserts the pipe into the flange for welding to ensure the firmness of the connection. It is often used in conjunction with flanges on equipment (such as instruments, valves, pumps, etc.). The manufacturing process of neck flat welding flange mainly includes forging and welding. Commonly used materials include carbon steel, chromium-molybdenum steel, 304, 316 and other stainless steel materials. These materials have good corrosion resistance and mechanical strength and are suitable for use in various industrial environments‌. Neck flat welding flange is suitable for connecting medium and low pressure vessels and pipelines, especially for occasions that require frequent disassembly and installation. However, due to its low neck height, it is sensitive to high temperature and pressure, repeated bending and temperature fluctuations, and is not suitable for use under extreme conditions.
