Product Description

Grade 316/316L is molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel. The higher nickel and molybdenum content in this grade allows it to demonstrate better overall corrosion resistant properties than 304, especially with regard to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. In addition, Alloy 316/ 316L provides excellent elevated temperature tensile, creep and stress-rupture strengths, as well as outstanding formability and weldability. 316L is the lower carbon version of 316 and is immune from sensitization; therefore, it is very frequently used in heavy gauge welded components.

Butt welding weld neck flange‌ is a flange with a tapered neck, which is butt welded to the cylinder or pipe. It is an integral flange. Due to the transition structure of the tapered neck and butt welding connection, the strength and stiffness of the flange are enhanced, and the sealing performance is better than that of the flat welding flange. Neck butt welding flanges are usually machined from forged steel parts, and the material is mostly forged steel. This material choice ensures the strength and durability of the flange‌. Neck butt welding flanges are widely used in medium and high pressure pipelines and equipment, especially in chemical, petroleum, electric power and other fields. Its high strength and good sealing properties make it excellent in situations where it needs to withstand higher pressures and temperatures.
